Join the Kenosha History Center for a walk through historic Green Ridge Cemetery. Come & meet characters from Kenosha's past as reenactors in period clothing tell the stories in first-person. This year's reenactments include: Henry S. Cooper (Cooper Underwear), Edward Bain (Bain Wagon Company), John B. Maloney (1910 Postmaster), Thomas Jeffery (Jeffery Co.) and Zalmon Simmons (Simmons Matress). Tours leave every 10 minutes from the the Green Ridge Cemetery entrance, located on 7th Avenue, 1-4 p.m.

Parking is available along 7th Avenue and 66th Street.

Visitors are advised to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Groups will be escorted through the cemetery on a first come first served basis.

A cemetery walk is a great way to bring a community’s history alive by learning about those who lived and died there through costumed reenactors. The Kenosha Cemetery Association is the custodian of the Green Ridge Cemetery which was started in 1838 and is still an active cemetery today.
