Our Team

Membership Support

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of Kenosha County Historical Society. Your membership makes up a vital portion of our operating budget, helping us to preserve our local history. The support we receive from our members makes possible the preservation of the Society's extensive museum and archival collections. The Society uses these in exhibits, school kits, workshops and publications and in our Speaker's Bureau to tell the story of Kenosha County's founding and growth.

Volunteer

Our volunteers work as docents (interpretive guides), museum greeters, catalogers, archival processors, clerical assistants an work on special projects and events. Every effort is made to match the interest and talents of a volunteer with tasks that will benefit the Society. Volunteers receive training for their work from Society staff and veteran Volunteers.

Our Mission

The Kenosha History Center collects and preserves artifacts, records and information vital to the understanding the history of the County's social, cultural, ethnic and industrial heritage since its settlement. The Center uses these materials, acting alone or in collaboration with other citizens and organizations, to disseminate knowledge of our collective local history through its museum, historic sites, research and outreach and publication programs for the benefit of the community and its visitors.
